Zone Creation

All water systems inevitably encounter leaks.  Many leaks are not visible, so in a large geographic area it can be difficult to know where exactly to deploy resources to find and repair the leaks.  By segmenting the system into zones, we can measure and highlight the areas that are losing more water and require attention. 

High Level Steps

Creating zones requires:

• Analysis of water usage across the system geographically
• Mapping of pipe locations and water distribution
• Designing and installing new "zoning" meters and vaults
• Assigning billing meters to their respective zones for reporting
